This CD includes all the lessons:

The Bronze Award
The lesson is in two parts: teaching the position and value of the pieces plus how each moves.  It covers capturing, checking, pawn promotion and check mating.  This is followed by a Test to reveal how well the lesson has been learned.  The lesson is interactive and can be used with individual pupils and a whole class.

Silver Award - Box Mate
This lesson demonstrates how to checkmate with a rook and king against a lone king.

Silver Award - Knight and Bishop Attack
A very useful lesson demonstrating a basic attacking idea a step up in difficulty from Scholar's mate.
As with all the lessons, it is interactive allowing students to try out moves with immediate feedback.

Silver Award - Writing Moves
This lesson covers everything a player needs to know about writing down the moves of a game.  It is followed by a test to demonstrate how well the lesson has been learned.

Silver Award - Scholar's mate
The four move check mate much loved of beginners.  This lesson demonstrates what is involved and provides suggestions as to how to avoid being Scholar's mated.

Silver Award - The Lawn Mower Mate
Another of the basic mates where a player check mates using two rooks and a king, against a lone king.  It is one of the easiest mating attacks and demonstrates a strategy for check mating.

Silver Award - The Queen Mate.
Shows how to check mate with a queen and king against a lone king.  It also warns about the dangers of stalemate in positions like this.  Again the lesson is interactive allowing the players to learn by their own mistakes.
